Sony Plaza：How do you get your textile design inspiration?
Suzan ＆ Kate：私（Suzan）のインスピレーションはシンプルに日々の生活から湧いてきます。たとえば、フラワーマーケットに行ったり、公園を歩いたり、夢を観たり・・そんな中からみつけます。
いつも驚きの中から湧いてくるので、同じ場所からは見つかりません。無理強いしてもでてきませんね。
Suzan ＆ Kate：My inspiration comes simply from my day to day life. I can find inspiration from a trip to the flower market, a walk through the park, a feeling or a daydream. It never comes from the same place and it always is a surprise-it can’t be forced!
Sony Plaza：バッグをデザインするにあたって、大事なポイントは何でしょうか？
Sony Plaza：What is the important point when you decide your bag design?
Suzan ＆ Kate：日々、私たちはなにも無いところからバッグをデザインしなくてはなりません。
デザインのヒントは、私たちの身の回りから出てくることもあります。たとえば“Picnic”バッグはビーチになにかを持っていく際に、大きすぎず、小さすぎないバッグというニーズからデザインされました。私たちのバッグ全て実際に中に入れて使ってみて丁度良い大きさを決めています。
Suzan ＆ Kate：Our day to day needs-each bag design comes from a void that we feel needs to be filled. Often the designs come from how we in vision ourselves in an environment such as the picnic bag was designed after we all craved something to take to the beach that wasn’t too big or too small. We thought everything that we would carry inside to make it the right size!
